Ryan Mark’s hosts Pure Fest
...launches new album, commemorates ministry Sep 7
Popular gospel recording artiste and Pastor Ryan Mark will on September 7 host Pure Fest at Swallowfield Chapel in St Andrew.
The event, which is being promoted under the auspices of Ryan Mark’s Pure In Heart Ministries International (PIHMI), a non-denominational Christ-centred church which is also led by his wife, Dawnette “Crissy D” Reynolds, will feature performances by the likes of leading gospel acts such as DJ Nicholas, Goddy Goddy, Jason Mighty, and Naurice Edwards.
Launched in September 2014 with a vision to positively impact the lives of people through a message of love, hope, truth, and other biblical principles, the ministry has been involved in several charitable initiatives and it has also donated in excess of over $2 million to various causes, among them Strathmore Gardens Children’s Home, school tuitions, medical bills, among other care initiatives.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer recently Ryan Mark explained the growth of the New Kingston-based, non-profit, charitable organisation, PIHMI.
“I returned to Jamaica after being ordained as a reverend at the Potter’s House International Ministries in New York. During a time of meditation and introspection when the Holy Spirit challenged me with a thought: ‘We all desire change, but are we willing to be a part of the change? I was then led to Matthew 5:8, which says, ‘Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.’ With that prompting, I was convicted to help others be a part of true and lasting change which begins in the heart. Being obedient to the spirit of God,” said Ryan Mark.
The first staging of Pure Fest, a fund-raising initiative, will also commemorate the institution’s 10 anniversary and the launch of Ryan Mark’s Milestone album.
Milestone features production work by Ryan Mark, Danny Browne, DJ Tropical, Slyda Di Wizard, Mario Lawrence and DJ Shane.
Guest collaborators include Johnmark Wiggan, Trinidad-based gospel artiste Positive from Trinidad, DJ Nicholas, and Latoya HD.
The 12-track set is his fifth such effort and is the follow-up to his 2018 Your Grace.
“The Milestone album was intentionally created to offer musical diversity so that it can cater to a wide cross section of persons. The project is intended to provide upliftment, encouragement, and spiritual empowerment, whilst being fun, positive, and joyful,” Ryan Mark shared.
