KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tier 1 tickets for Vybz Kartel’s ‘Freedom Street’ concert to be held on December 31, 2024 are now sold out.

This is according to the organisers of the concert, Downsound Entertainment. The update comes hours after the website crashed just moments after it went live at 3:00 am on Saturday.

Apologising for the technical difficulties individuals would have experienced while trying to purchase tickets for the concert, the organisers said, “The overwhelming demand has inundated our ticketing website, leading to unexpected challenges, even with the highest bandwidth available to the ticketing site.”

“This concert is truly unprecedented, and we are beyond grateful for your unwavering support,” they added.

According to Downsound Entertainment, individuals who have successfully purchased tickets will receive a confirmation email shortly.

“There is no need to continue refreshing the page or attempting another purchase. If your transaction was successful, your ticket is secure, and your place at this monumental event is guaranteed,” the group said.

For customers who have not yet completed their purchase but successfully placed items in their carts, the organisers said their team will be reaching out directly to provide payment options to finalise the purchase.

The organisers said others wishing to attend the concert should keep an eye out for the next ticket release.
