JAEO Celebrates 60 Years
Members of the Jamaica Association of Education Officers (JAEO) stepped out elegantly for the Anniversary Ball at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay on Thursday, August 22 as part of the milestone 60th anniversary celebrations.
The members of the association are employed by the Ministry of Education and Youth and provide oversight of the operations of all public schools in the country. Custos Rotulorum of St James Bishop Conrad Pitkin delivered the keynote address while Minister of Education Fayval Williams brought greetings. Members were rewarded for outstanding service to nation-building and bringing attention to the general impact of the association since its inception. Those honoured included past presidents, retirees, and Dr Kasan Troupe and Dr Maureen Dwyer, education officers that have held the post of permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education.
