Digital One and Provocativa poised for victory in O&S Tack Room Trophy
AMERICAN-BRED contenders Digital One and Provocativa are poised for success in the O&S Tack Room Trophy feature at Caymanas Park today, with the racing conditions and distance aligning perfectly with their running styles.
The $1.25-million Restricted Overnight Allowance contest, divided into two sections, will be run over one mile (1,600m), setting the stage for these talented runners to outpace their rivals and claim victory.
Digital One will take on the challenge in Division One while Provocativa will seek victory in Division Two. Division One is positioned as the ninth race with a post time of 4:20 pm while Division Two is positioned as the 10th race with a post time of 5:00 pm. The first race is at 11:30 am.
On paper, Digital One stands out as the clear favourite to win. With two second-place and two third-place finishes from four starts, Digital One, who now takes orders from trainer Gary Subratie, is primed to register her first win for the season. Expect peak performance from this talented filly as she should finally reach the winners’ circle without any excuses. The blinkers will be off and the visor on.
Money Miser should be the main threat to Digital One here. Although winless in two attempts at this level, Money Miser has been showing promise in training and looks poised to mount a strong challenge to Digital One’s dominance. His sixth-place finish on August 3 was a mere four and a half lengths behind Madelyn’s Sunshine, and he’s expected to improve significantly here.
In Division Two, Provocativa faces a stiffer challenge but should use her talent to pull off the victory. Despite her recent two unplaced efforts, Provocativa is in excellent form. Provocativa’s narrow loss to Fred The Great on June 29 over seven furlongs (1,400m) demonstrates her ability to stay the distance.
March and Shoot and Life is Life are two capable runners who could deny Provocativa here.
March and Shoot is expected to handle the distance with ease. March and Shoot’s third-place finish behind Milos and Digital One on June 29 over seven furlongs suggests a strong chance of winning with a similar performance.
Life is Life has been running some good races of late. He is fit enough to secure a placing and, based on his running style, he should be a dangerous contender.
