Don’t forget the teachers
Dear Editor,
As students across the nation receive their May/June Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) results, households are filled with joy, pride, and sometimes regret.
While students rightfully deserve praise for their hard work, it is essential not to overlook the dedicated teachers who played a pivotal role in their success. These teachers worked tirelessly to ensure syllabus completion, often under challenging circumstances and with limited resources.
Many sacrificed personal and family time, staying late, losing weekends, and going above and beyond to prepare their students for these critical exams.
Remarkably, many did so without expecting anything in return, driven solely by their unwavering commitment to their students’ success. As students and parents celebrate these achievements, let us not forget to express our gratitude to the teachers who made it all possible. Their dedication and love for their students deserve recognition and thanks.
