Build Wealth Conference puts spotlight on women in business
THE vibrant ‘money energy’ in the room over the two-day Build Wealth Conference, organised by Profit Jumpstarter, was matched by the effervescent emcee Khadine “Miss Kitty” Wilkinson who hosted Friday’s session and kept attendees engaged and entertained. Girl boss Stacey Hines, CEO of Epic Transformation who took the reins as emcee on Saturday, walked out ready to level up the money game. The event, which is in its second staging, was conceptualised by the visionary Profit Jumpstarter CEO Keisha Bailey.
Bailey carved out a space for women’s financial empowerment during the weekend-long event with discussions on ‘momprenuers’, where Miss Kitty shared her experience as a new mother and the balancing act.
The conference also featured a panel on Women in Business with Dr Kesha Christie of KCLH Full Business Solutions Limited; Seraphia Spence of Dentons Delany; Rochelle Cameron of Prescient Consulting; and Hines, where they lent their expertise to the topic. Business journalist Khalilah Reynolds presented on ‘Work vs Life: Is Balance Possible’.
“The financial empowerment of women is a critical driver for economic growth,” Bailey shared. “As a mother, wife, educator and entrepreneur, I understand the demands on women who sometimes neglect the financial planning necessary to grow their wealth.”
With a aim to promote wealth building, the conference featured lively presentations from several local and international experts. The over 200 attendees used the opportunity to delve into financial insights, network, forge partnerships, and take actionable steps to further their wealth building journey.
