18 arrested for various offences in St Mary
ST MARY, Jamaica – Eighteen people were arrested during a targeted operation in Port Maria, St Mary on Friday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kevin Francis, two were arrested for ganja-related offenses while the others were taken in custody based on warrants.
“The police carried out targeted raids across the parish with the support of police personnel from PSTEB where high-risk targets were pursued,“ Francis told Observer Online.
He said more operations are in the works for targeted areas.
“We will continue our effort to serve and protect the people of the parish of St Mary while assuring law abiding citizens and business interests. We encourage our citizens to report strange persons entering their communities so that there can be a partnership between residents and the police,” he said.
