Portland man slapped with wounding charges following altercation with brother
PORTLAND, Jamaica — A 43-year-old labourer of Toms Hope, Portland has been charged with wounding with intent after he allegedly used a machete to physically assault his brother during a dispute on Sunday, August 18.
Reports from the Port Antonio police are that Ian Brown and his brother got into an altercation, when he used a machete to inflict wounds to his brother’s body. The injured man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and released.
A report was made to the police and Brown was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
