Karting title chase heats up
After a thrilling double-header last month, Dylan Smith leads the 2024 chase for karting’s highest honour, the Abe Ziadie Trophy.
At this point in the season, 2023 trophy holder Brandon Shor has three meets left to close the gap for a karting championship three-peat. Currently, he sits third with 192.5 overall points behind Luke Spencer in second with 201. Dylan Smith sits on 211 points at the top of the leaderboard. Behind Shor is Edward Upstone in fourth with 179 points, and Zander Williams on 166.5 points.
In the classes it’s Lucas Lee leading Comer 50 on 211 points. The leaderboard for Rotax Micromax is topped by Abe Ziadie Trophy points leader Smith, while Shor dominates Rotax Minimax with 192.5 points.
Spencer heads the Rotax Junior classification on 201 points. Upstone is another driver leading his class with 179 points in Rotax Senior. Mark Moodie is the top competitor in Super Rotax.
