Iwaata stunts at Dejavu
Burwood Beach in Trelawny was on August 10 transformed into a pulsating hub of energy and rhythm as Jamaican dancehall artiste, Jason ‘Iwaata’ Bailey, took the stage at the beach party, Dejavu.
The event provided a picturesque beach setting which was perfectly complemented by Iwaata’s electrifying performance, making for an unforgettable night of music and celebration.
The crowd was treated to high-energy renditions of his hit singles Tun Di Oda Way and Little London, each igniting waves of excitement among the audience.
The highlight of the evening was Iwaata’s debut performance of his latest single, Dancehall Queen, a track produced by 1Royalty Entertainment. This new release was met with roaring approval from the crowd, showcasing the entertainer’s evolving artistry and his ability to capture the essence of dancehall in a contemporary context.
Iwaata’s manager, Paul Morgan expressed his enthusiasm about the event.
“Dejavu was a spectacular event, and Iwaata’s performance truly captured the spirit of dancehall. The positive reception to Dancehall Queen was particularly gratifying and a testament to Iwaata’s continued growth as an artiste.”
Always on the move, Iwaata left Jamaica for the United States on Friday, August 16, to perform at several other shows across that country.
Morgan expressed his pride in Iwaata’s achievements and the trajectory of his career.
“We’re incredibly proud of how the event went. Iwaata’s ability to connect with the audience and deliver an outstanding performance reinforces why he remains a leading figure in dancehall. We look forward to seeing him bring that same energy and passion to his shows in the US,” he said.
