Serial offender among two arrested in Manchester police raid
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man said to be a repeat offender, previously charged multiple times with house and shop breaking, is among two men in police custody after scores of stolen items and ammunition were found in their possession in Kingsland, Manchester on Tuesday.
The man, identified by the police as Corey Simpson, 36, has been charged with unlawful possession of property, possession of house-breaking instruments, and possession of prohibited ammunition.
Simpson, otherwise called ‘Crazy Teeth,’ a farmer of Perth Road in Manchester and Bull Savannah in St. Elizabeth, is jointly charged with 36-year-old Rayon Parkes, a labourer of Somerset District in Manchester and Chambers Lane in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
Police said that between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm, they raided premises in Kingsland, four kilometres west of Mandeville, and caught the men with multiple stolen items in their possession.
The police seized items including an assortment of poker box parts, several laptops, a quantity of ammunition, toilet fittings, and a crowbar.
