Lecturer charged with sexually assaulting 18-y-o student
KINGSTON, Jamaica— A lecturer was charged following the alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old female student at her home in West Kingston.
The incident is reported to have occurred in June 2024.
The lecturer has been charged with grievous sexual assault. The woman is said to be a cousin of the accused man.
Reports reaching Observer Online indicate that around 6:30 pm, the lecturer visited the woman at her home. While there, he reportedly held her down and inserted his finger into her vagina against her will.
A report was made to the police and following investigations, the lecturer was being sought.
He turned himself over to the police recently and was subsequently charged after a question-and-answer interview conducted in the presence of his attorney.
