Kingston welder charged after reportedly stabbing man during altercation
KINGSTON, Jamaica— A welder has been charged after he turned himself in to the police for allegedly stabbing a man multiple times during an altercation on Studio One Boulevard, Kingston 5 on Saturday, July 20.
Charged with wounding with intent is 31-year-old Warren Escoffery of Olympic Way in Kingston.
Reports from the Cross Roads police are that about 3:00 pm, Escoffery and a man were involved in an altercation that became physical. It is alleged that during the melee, Escoffery pulled a knife and stabbed the complainant multiple times. The complainant was assisted to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
The incident was later reported to the police and Escoffery later turned himself in.
He was interviewed in the presence of his attorney and subsequently charged.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, August 8.
