Kingston Weekend set to sizzle with multiple events
With multiple events happening between Kingston, St Ann, and Negril this weekend, one event that’s hoping to capitalise on party-hungry patrons is Kingston Weekend.
Now in its third staging, Kingston Weekend is set to run from Friday August 2 to Sunday August 4 with three high-profile events. They are Night Lyfe, Let Loose (Soca vs Dancehall edition), and Summer Dip.
Henry Braham, member of the organising committee and promoter for Let Loose, said: “The first staging of Kingston Weekend took place in the summer of 2022, and since then we have grown exponentially. The idea came about when my other team members and myself were planning on attending an event out of town and we said, ‘Why not do our own event during that period?’ ” said Braham.
Night Lyfe is set to take place Friday, August 2, at Club Overtime in New Kingston, Let Loose happens on Saturday night at the Police Officers’ Club, while Sunday Summer Dip will take place at the same venue.
“Patrons can come out and expect good music, good vibes, good energy, hassle-free bars, smooth entry, and 100 per cent good customer service,” Braham assured.
Among the DJs scheduled to spin the hits at Let Loose are DJ Iconik, DJ Zacky, Fyahman, and Carlos A-Team.
Let Loose which started out initially as a high school event (Let Loose Skoolz Out) is held three times annually.
