Spice looks to Mirror 25
Queen of Dancehall Spice is confident that her third studio album, Mirror 25, will resonate with fans worldwide.
“It will bring happiness to people. I just want people to listen to the music and to have fun with it. It creates a space to dance; a space to bring joy to the soul. I just feel like this album will bring a lot of joy to different souls,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
Currently in London, England, she just recently jetted from Jamaica after a performance at Popcaan’s Unruly Fest over the weekend.
Mirror 25 is scheduled for an August 9 release via the Spice Official Entertainment Label.
The 25-track set coincides with Spice’s 25th anniversary in music and will explore different topics as she reflects on her journey.
Spice, who was officially crowned as Queen of Dancehall at the 2022 staging of Reggae Sumfest, is also an entrepreneur and a co-star on VH1’s reality series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta. With her packed schedule she revealed that her support system helps to keep her afloat.
“I’m in England right now and my team is begging me to sleep… I feel like just having people around you who genuinely love and care for you, that kinda brings a balance. When you have people like my mom, who is able to look out for my kids while I’m working, that gives me a stable mindset so that I can work, as well as my sister Fenise, who is also there for me in certain aspects of my business. It’s a team effort,” she said.
