Anthony Thomas sidelined for five months after fall
FORMER Jamaican champion jockey Anthony Thomas, known locally as St Mary, is facing a lengthy recovery period after a recent fall at Gulfstream Park in South Florida.
On July 27 Thomas was exercising a horse when it suddenly flipped, landing on his right leg, just above the knee. Despite the severity of the incident Thomas remains optimistic and is committed to working with medical professionals to ensure a speedy recovery.
He is expected to be out of commission for approximately five months before returning to the saddle.
