Rachel Silvera crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2024
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Rachel Silvera was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2024 at the AC Hotel in St Andrew on Sunday night.
The 25-year-old pharmacy student and entrepreneur beat out 32 other contestants to emerge victorious, captivating judges and audiences alike with her poise, intelligence, and stage presence.
Silvera, a native of the rural parish of St Mary was crowned by Miss Universe Jamaica 2023 Dr Jordanne Lauren Levy, and sashed by Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios. Her return to the pageant stage follows her first runner-up finish in the 2022 Miss Universe Jamaica competition.
“I am overjoyed and humbled to be crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2024,” said Silvera. “I thank the organisers, judges, and my fellow contestants for this incredible opportunity.”
As Miss Universe Jamaica 2024, Silvera will now embark on a journey to the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in September.
