Xodus set to take on Miami Streets with K’PAYA Carnival
On the heels of Jamaica Carnival, Xodus has since launched its ‘mas’ campaigns for CayMas, Caribana, and Crop Over 2024 and, most recently, Miami Carnival.
Scheduled for October 13, 2024, Carnival will come alive in Miami for soca lovers in the sunshine state, culminating an unforgettable soca season.
Miami Carnival promises to be an exciting end to a very successful and entertaining 2024 season for Xodus. Following its excellent execution at Jamaica Carnival, together with its participation in Cayman with Renegade Mas and Caribana with Carnival Nationz, the band is gearing up for working with the Miami-based K-PAYA Carnival band.
“Our costume for Miami is with the band K-PAYA Carnival, and their theme is ‘Extravaganza’, which pulls inspiration from the human expression and artistry embodied in a circus. Xodus’s costume is called ‘Invigorate’, which is inspired by Volta, a high-energy journey through the world of extreme sports and self-discovery. The costume’s design is a celebration of individuality and the electrifying spirit of the modern circus,” shared Shanique Hayden, marketing manager of Xodus Carnival.
This year marks Xodus’ third year in partnership with K-PAYA Carnival, allowing for both bands to continue the immersion of unique experiences for revellers. Xodus, through its MasCreate subsidiary has elevated the costume design process with its Jamaica Carnival pieces, and has since produced the most delicate and intricate costumes for their participation in the aforementioned carnivals.
“As a brand, we are drawn to K-PAYA’s genuine love for, and authentic display of carnival in the US space. We are very much looking forward to being on the road with their revellers, as well as giving our Xodus family another amazing Miami Xodus Xperience. K-PAYA was also one of our partners for the most recent staging of Bacchanal J’Ouvert during Jamaica Carnival week, so we’re grateful to reciprocate this in joining them for their carnival celebrations,” explained Kamal Bankay, executive chairman, Xodus Carnival.
