WATCH: Man killed near bar on Caledonia Courts plaza in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Jamaica— A man was shot dead on Caledonia Courts plaza in Mandeville on Wednesday night.

Bar patrons identified him only as ‘Davy’.

Preliminary reports are that shortly before 11:00 pm, armed assailants stormed the plaza and opened fire on the man in the vicinity of a bar. He reportedly collapsed on a staircase on the second floor of the plaza.

The incident also sent patrons from multiple bars at the location scampering for cover as gunshots rang out.

The area has been the scene of several shooting incidents over the years.

Five murders, including a double murder, have been committed in Manchester in the past two weeks.
