Stalk Ashley collabs with Skeng, Kraff
Recording artiste Stalk Ashley has tapped fellow dancehall stars Skeng and Kraff for the track Senseless which was released on July 12.
In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, Stalk Ashley said that both artistes helped to bring her vision to life.
“The reason why those are the artistes I chose to team up with was because I feel like their vibe and aesthetic matches the vibe of the song. So, it wasn’t difficult to know who would be good to collaborate with on this song,” she said.
Senseless was produced by Jaxx/ Kingbnjmn for Stalk Ashley Music LLC/Zojak World Wide. The office music video was directed by Filmaica.
To date, it is trending at #9 on streaming platform YouTube.
Stalk Ashley is pleased with its success.
“Honestly, from what I’ve seen, it’s been great. People are loving it; they’re sharing it [and]… I’m getting tagged every couple seconds. All-round, it’s great so far. I can’t wait to see where it goes,” she said.
In just a few years, Stalk Ashley has garnered a wide fan base. She is known for hits such as Really Like U with Skillibeng, EarthQuake, As A BadGyal, and Incognito with Alkaline.
She revealed that her career has not been linear as she strives to maintain her stay in dancehall.
“My journey has been a number of things. It has been an emotional roller coaster, for sure. I’ve had a lot of challenges, so far. It’s also rewarding. I love doing music; I don’t see myself doing anything else — it’s just where my heart is,” she said.
Stalk Ashley has completed her highly anticipated EP, which is set for release in the coming weeks.
