Jackson Town, Duncans seek first TFA Major League title
FLORENCE HALL, Trelawny — Jackson Town and Duncans FC will be seeking their first ever Duncans Complex Trelawny Football Association Major League title when they meet in the rescheduled final set for the Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium on Sunday at 4:00 pm.
Duncans, last season’s beaten finalists, will hope to make it one step further this year while it will be Jackson Town’s third trip to the final.
The final was originally set for July 7 but was pushed back due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
The winner of today’s final will meet St James FA Major League champions Granville United on July 24 in a play-off for a spot in the Jamaica Football Federation Championships.
Duncans had beaten last season’s champions Duanvale FC in the semi-finals while Jackson Town got by Coopers Pen and both losers will meet in the third place play-offs set to start at 2:00 pm.
