In addition chemotherapy services, Dr Espinosa Campbell said the facility will provide cardiology services and acute care services for Jamaicans at an affordable cost making it accessible and access-able for everyone.
“The vision from the chairman, Mr Gordon is really to make healthcare affordable for all Jamaicans. In keeping with that vision the strategic direction would be to making it cost effective. We have brought on some of the best consultants from Cuba to ensure that the healthcare delivery is done in a very precise manner using the top drugs so we’re able to shave the costs and cut the cost of the drugs and the treatment and the post care that is necessary for our patients,” she explained.
“I also want to say that it’s very important that we focus on the mental health of our cancer patients…They have suffered the loss of their colleagues and their friends and of course there would be strong focus on the mental health care aspect of our cancer patients,” she continued.
Dr Espinosa Campbell appealed to Jamaicans to access the services offered by Jacden Pharma & Medical Services once the facility is open.
“I want to appeal to Jamaicans that once the service is open, we invite you to come and share in our experience from good healthcare. We are open to everybody from the very young to the very old and I want to see a lot more of our Jamaicans getting healthier,” she said.
