Man charged after admitting to killing car wash operator in Westmoreland
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica— A man has been charged after he admitted to stabbing a car wash operator to death during an argument in Rowe Town, Westmoreland on Saturday, July 13.
Charged with murder is 27-year-old Ris Wilson of Gordon district, Whitehouse, Westmoreland, and Park Mountain district in St Elizabeth.
Dead is 27-year-old Simario Smith, otherwise called ‘Marco’ of Gordon District, in Westmoreland.
It is reported that about 1:20 pm, an argument developed between Smith and Wilson. During the melee, Wilson reportedly pulled a knife and stabbed Smith several times.
Smith was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Wilson was taken into custody after the incident and was charged on Tuesday, July 16 following his admission to committing the crime.
His court date is being arranged.
