Fraser-Pryce withdraws from Switzerland meet
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Three-time Olympic gold medallist Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will not line up to compete in the women’s 100m at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern track and field meet in Switzerland on Tuesday.
It is uncertain why Fraser-Pryce has withdrawn from the race but unconfirmed reports are that she was experiencing some level of discomfort.
This would have been Fraser-Pryce’s first race in Europe this season ahead of her fifth Olympic Games this month in Paris.
She was set to go up against compatriots Kemba Nelson, Shashalee Forbes, Crystal Sloley, and Jodean Williams in Tuesday’s race.
