Soca princess Nailah Blackman loves Jamaican seafood
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Whenever she visits Jamaica, soca princess Nailah Blackman always ensures she visits the Hellshire beach in Portmore, St Catherine to enjoy the delicacies there.
“I love Jamaican steam fish with okra and I also love fried lobster,” Blackman stated in an interview with Observer Online on Saturday night shortly after she delivered a well-received performance at Kurrent Fest.
Although the promoters may not have received the massive turnout that they expected, those in attendance enjoyed the musical delights of Blackman, Spice, Armanii and the musical sets by DJs Kevi Di Kinetic, TZ (who rocked with a soca set), DJ Jamdonn, Wess, Brush1, Fyahman, DJ Mindless and DJ Franco.
Blackman, who has collaborated with the likes of Shenseea and Stalk Ashley, says she has new music on the way.
“I’m doing an entire project which is dropping at the end of the year. I’m also coming with new music for Carnival 2025 and I’m just touring all over the place. I’m always exploring and doing something for the culture,” she disclosed.
