Football-inspired streetwear brand Lovers FC and rolling paper brand Rizla have teamed up for a collaboration honouring football’s roots in Jamaica.
The brands came together for the Jamaica Football Jersey and a special-edition pack of rolling papers.
Neal Heard, author of The Football Shirts Book – A Connoisseurs Guide and CEO of Lovers FC, reached out to culture curator and film/television producer Odessa Chambers to creative direct the project in Jamaica.
“I wanted to use people who are not the usual suspects for this project and work with some fresh faces. As a creative director, I am always intentional of how Brand Jamaica is represented culturally in its purest way, no water down t’ing’ bout ya,” said Chambers.
Up-and-coming reggae/dancehall artiste Aza Lineage & creative/model Zaid Smith were shot in the pieces at Hermitage in St Andrew, Screechie at Hellshire Beach, and Effey’s Fruit Stall in Barbican.
