Showers to linger through to Saturday
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Isolated showers are expected mainly over sections of eastern and southern parishes throughout Friday as a tropical wave moves over Jamaica.
Rainfall should continue into Saturday with thunderstorms in sections of most parishes, according to the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, which added “due to the recent rainfall from Hurricane Beryl and the resulting ground saturation, flooding and landslides are very likely.”
It added that increasingly windy conditions are expected to begin on Saturday due to the presence of a low-level jet stream.
