Fanatic was lit!
School’s out and what better place for college and university students to unwind and party ‘til morning than at Fanatic.
The event was tipped as one no young adult could miss and so the third staging of Fanatic, held last Friday night at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, was a sold-out affair.
From as early as 10:00 pm patrons began streaming in and they were greeted to the musical styling of DJ Stepho, who immediately catered to their desire to have fun. He reeled off a list of current hits that kept patrons in party mode.
Hosted by the in-demand Fyahman, the event went up a notch higher when Kryptic with Chiney K, Heavy D Chromatic, and Brush1 and DJ Mac with Worl Baba all stirred up a melting pot of musical treats that kept patrons dancing non-stop.
The icing on the cake were performances by RajahWild and Govana, who gave patrons bits from their respective catalogue of hit songs.
Justin Campbell, a director of Fanatic, was pleased with the night’s execution. He also spoke about the growth of the event since its first staging two years go.
“We are really pleased with the turnout. Since its debut in June of 2022 at the club inside 100 Kingston with around 500 attendees, the event has expanded dramatically. This year, we attracted over 3,000 patrons which resulted in traffic snarls on Hope Road leading into the venue,” said Campbell.
He added: “The performances by RajahWild and Govana were among the high points of the event, as they thrilled their fans with hits after hits. Patrons were just as highly satisfied, many leaving with Fanatic merchandise. The event’s exponential growth has left almost everyone eagerly anticipating the next one.”
