NMIA confirms roof damage at passenger boarding pier
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The operators of the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) have confirmed that a small section of the roof of the passenger boarding pier has been damaged as a result of weather conditions associated with Hurricane Beryl.
PAC Kingston Airport Limited (PACKAL), operators of the NMIA, stated that once the storm has completely passed, a full assessment of damage will be done.
PACKAL, however, emphasised that the airport remains intact.
The airport was closed on Tuesday night ahead of the storm.
It noted that updates will follow regarding reopening for flight activities.
