#NationalTrials: Shericka Jackson completes sprint double
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Shericka Jackson completed her third straight Jamaican national women sprint double after taking the 200m in a season’s best 22.29 seconds (1.6m/s) at the JAAA National Championships at the National Stadium on Sunday.
Pushed all the way to the finish line, Jackson who came from from behind to win the 100m on Friday, did just enough to secure the win and her place in the 200m at the Paris Olympics.
Lanae-Tava Thomas was second in a new personal best 22.34 seconds, just under the 22.36 seconds she ran at the Racers Grand Prix earlier in June, followed by Niesha Burgher who also ran a lifetime best-22.39 seconds, bettering her 22.44 seconds set earlier this season.
Dejanea Oakley finished fourth with 22.66 seconds, and was followed across the line by Jodean Williams-22.75 seconds, Kevona Davis- 23.09 seconds and Natasha Morrison- 23.13 seconds.
