Mr Beast builds houses in Jamaica
KINGSTON, Jamaica — YouTube sensation and philanthropist James Donaldson, more popularly known as ‘Mr Beast’ recently built and gave away homes to vulnerable Jamaican families.
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Mr Beast revealed that he has built a total of 100 homes for families across Jamaica, El Salvador, Colombia, and Argentina.
It appears that 25 homes were donated to Jamaican families, three of which were featured in the video as beneficiaries — the first being a family of four.
“Behind you is your brand new home,” he told the family after removing their blindfolds. The gift was received with shrieks of joy and excitement.
Walking around their new home, their son exclaimed, “There’s a bedroom.” His father later shared “I always wanted him to have a bunk bed. And my dream came true.”
The next featured beneficiary was a family of five whose house, Mr Beast noted, was so unstable that it could collapse on them at any given moment.
The philanthropist sent the family on a mini vacation so that he could build them a brand new home. On their return, the surprise was met with immediate tears from both parents.
“It’s been really hard, and you guys changed my life,” the father told Mr Beast. “Thank you guys so much.”
Mr Beast noted that some of the places these families live are extremely unsafe and, in some cases, life-threatening.
Like in the case of the third beneficiary featured in the video whose children got soaked whenever it rained.
“We built that brand new home for you. Here’s the keys,” Mr Beast told the mother who then broke down in tears.
The YouTuber then travelled to Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia where he built and gave away more homes to other vulnerable families.
