With what she describes as a “profound calling on her life”, Ellecia Clarke-Edwards’ journey has led her from the corporate world to the literary.

Having ventured into the professional arena within the banking sector, Clarke-Edwards’ life took a transformative turn when she heeded a compelling call to pursue her true purpose. Resigning from her banking job, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment. In 2020, she penned her debut book Two Kingdom Keys to Success: Mind Elevation + Spiritual Alertness, a labour of love that not only marked the beginning of her literary career but also served as a beacon of hope for people seeking guidance and inspiration.

Following her debut, she set about completing another book, The Sales and Customer Service Book of Wisdom, which offers advice on how to sell more, earn more and become a master in sales and customer service. Clarke-Edwards utilises this book as a training guide for her corporate clients, imparting invaluable wisdom gleaned from her own experiences and successes in the corporate arena.

“I love to see others grow and blossom into who God has intended them to be and that is why I write,” she told the Jamaica Observer. “I see it as being a necessary part of my ministry calling. Through writing, I am able to impact lives so that my readers can be transformed into individuals that plans, pray and execute.”

Her latest book is now out. Stop Chasing, Start Living: Your Mind, Body and Spirit Self-Care Transformation Guide was published in 2023 and delves into the importance of self-care, serving as a roadmap to living authentically, boldly and unapologetically.

Clarke-Edwards tells Bookends that her motivation for all three works is to empower readers to embrace the power of self-love, self-discovery and personal transformation. To that end, she makes herself available for speaking engagements and coaching and training programmes.
