#NationalTrials: Epic showdown expected in men’s 100m final
KINGSTON, Jamaica— The stage is set for an epic showdown in the men’s 100m final on Friday’s second day of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Championships at the National Stadium after defending champion Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson both ran under 9.90 seconds in the semis.
Minutes after Thompson clocked 9.84 seconds (0.6m/s) to win his race, the smooth striding Seville responded with an equally sublime 9.83 seconds (0.4m/s) to send the crowd in a frenzy.
Bryan Levell was also under 10.00 seconds with a personal best 9.98 seconds (0.4m/s), while Ackeem Blake ran a season best 10.01 seconds.
Kadrian Goldson-10.10 seconds, Jehlani Gordon-10.11 seconds, Sandrey Davison-10.14 seconds and Jehlani Walker- 10.14 seconds, are also in the final.
