Lifespan refreshes boys’ bathroom at Buff Bay Primary
PORTLAND-BASED spring water company Lifespan came to the aid of Buff Bay Primary School in the parish by conducting a restoration exercise of the boys’ bathroom recently.
The initiative is the latest one to be carried out by the Lifespan team, which has had a long relationship with the school.
The school’s Principal Jacqueline Edwards expressed deep appreciation to the company for its commitment towards education, and for providing a more sanitary environment for the students.
“It was a commendable display of effort by the Lifespan team,” Edwards said.
She noted that this was not the first time the company has provided the school with assistance as in the past it has donated six smart whiteboards to the school.
“We really appreciate this initiative as it gives our school a much-needed facelift. The children use this space on a daily basis and when it is painted and looking fresh they will be more appreciative of it, and will be more comfortable going into that space,” said Edwards.
In the meantime general manager for Lifespan Robert Scott, who was among those participating in the transformation of the boys’ bathroom, said, “While this project is very important to the overall health and well-being of the children attending Buff Bay Primary School, it also aligns with Lifespan’s Sustainable Development Goal number 6, which is to provide clean water and sanitation for all, and by repainting this bathroom, it puts us one step closer to achieving this goal”.
He said Lifespan prides itself on consistently giving back to the community, providing support in key areas.
According to Scott, Lifespan is looking forward to continuing its relationship, and doing more projects with Buff Bay Primary School, as well as other schools in the parish that may need assistance.
