Philip Feanny still conjuring his magic
PHILIP Feanny proved that he still has what it takes to succeed at the races as on Saturday, June 22, 2024 he achieved a double victory, saddling two winners in consecutive races.
First, Feanny’s American-bred filly Magnificent Force took the second race by a length and a quarter, completing the 6½ furlongs in a time of 1:22.0 (23.4 x 47.4 x 1:14.4).
Raddesh Roman was in the saddle as the three-year-old, dark bay, brown filly made one move to win ahead of Pineapple (Jerome Innis) and Battle Angel (Oshane Nugent).
Feanny’s success continued in the next race as Riches To Rags won by a length and a quarter in a time of 1:21.4 (22.4 x 47.1 x 1:14.2).
This victory was all the more impressive given the strong finish by the chestnut filly in a faster time.
Sippin on Sunshine (Aaron Chatrie) and Buttercup (Shane Richardson) finished second and third, respectively.
