Mahogany last raced on May 18 in the Seeking My Dream Trophy where he came home in second position by ¾ length over 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m).
Mahogany last won a race on November 11, 2023 when beating rivals by a length in the Port Royal Sprint over 6 furlongs (1,200m). This versatile runner has demonstrated his ability to excel in various conditions, making him a formidable opponent in this contest.
2. I AM FRED (USA): (6 b g by Golden Lad – Happy Haliey) – Made a strong seasonal debut on May 25 in the I’msatisfied Trophy over 6 furlongs.
I Am Fred was just beaten by Ability by a short head in a time of 1:12.1.
I Am Fred is good for the run but getting by the top two is going to be a tough task for. I Am Fred is expected to complete the trifecta here.
3. A GIFT FROM BEN : (5 ch m by Here Comes Ben – Sage’s Giftbox
) – Is going to be left behind in this one.
4. JOY IS GOLEN (USA): (4 b f by Goldencents – Sylvan Light) – Did well to reach this class. Joy Is Golden cannot win this race.
5. SENSATIONAL MOVE: (4 ch c by Sensational Slam – Money Move) – Returns to competitive racing from a 126-day break.
Sensational Move is of some ability but he going to need the run here.
6. IS THAT A FACT (USA): (4 b c by Palace Malice – Valid Code) – One of the most improved horses in training at the moment.
Is That A Fact has raced six times this season, winning three of them and finishing second on the other three times.
Is That A Fact finished a good second in the Eros Trophy on June 1, losing out by three parts of a length to two-time Horse of the Year Atomica over 7 furlongs (1,400m). Is That A Fact has shown that he can sprint as well after winning the Reggae Trophy over 5 furlongs (1,000m) straight by 2 ½ lengths in 59.2 seconds. With his impressive speed and agility, Is That A Fact pose a significant threat to Mahogany’s chances.
