Shericka Jackson features in Paris Olympics campaign for Omega watches
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson has joined some of the world’s leading athletes in a Paris Olympics advertising campaign for Omega watches.
Branded as the ‘Official Timekeeper’ of the upcoming summer Olympic Games, Omega utilises optical illusions to have the aspiring Olympic gold medalists seemingly blend into their surroundings, while taking part in their specialised events.
For Jackson, she could be seen running on a park bench, with the Omega watch seemingly clocking her time beside her.
“Shericka Jackson, the fastest woman in the world over 200m, sprints the benches of the Jardin du Palais Royal in our dreamlike Paris, wearing a Speedmaster with its own touch of green,” Omega said in a post on X about the advertisement on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, Jackson, who is currently the fastest woman in the world over 200m, ran a season’s best 22.69 seconds to win the women’s event at the BAUHAUS-Galan Diamond League meet at Olympic Stadium in Stockholm, Sweden.
She had rebounded from an earlier fifth place finish.
