The event was hosted by the Mayor of Tamarac Marlon D Bolton.
This prestigious honour is bestowed upon individuals or organisations who have made significant contributions globally, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to public service, and who are trailblazers in their field.
Marley was recognised for his tireless efforts in promoting unity, love, and social justice through his music and philanthropic work, while Wilkinson was honoured for her outstanding contributions to the community, including her advocacy for women’s empowerment and cultural preservation.
In attendance, too, was Vice Mayor of Miramar Alexandra Davis, who is a Wolmer’s Girls’ High School and The University of the West Indies, Mona alum.
Jamaican reggae singer Nadine Sutherland was in attendance and added to the entertainment package, which also included a set by Marley and violinist Steven Avi.
