St Catherine farmer charged with possession of identity information
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – A St Catherine farmer has been slapped with ten counts of possession of identity Information following the discovery of documents containing identity information of people living outside of Jamaica.
Charged is 25-year-old Jadon Barnes of Treadways Farm Scheme in Linstead in the parish.
Reports from the Linstead police are that about 6:30 pm on Friday, Barnes was arrested during an operation. A search of his cellphone was conducted and two PDF documents containing 39 pages with names, addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, emails, and banking information were found.
Barnes was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney on Monday, June 10.
He is set to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday, June 14.
