ST ANN, Jamaica— The computer laboratory at the Ocho Rios Primary School in St Ann received a major boost last week with a donation of 25 new Dell computers from businessman and philanthropist Kumar Sujanani.
The well-known St Ann businessman, who saw to the refurbishing of the school’s computer laboratory, also ensured that each computer was installed with a full lifetime Microsoft Office suite, offering students the latest tools and resources for their education.

Belnavis also urged other business operators in the community to follow Sujanani’s example, highlighting the profound difference that such acts of philanthropy can make in the lives of young learners.
The donation of the computers and the refurbishment of the computer lab, Belnavis said, “stand as a shining example” of the positive impact that individuals can have when they come together to support education and empower future generations.
Parent Coleen Cox said that Sujanani’s vision extends beyond mere donations, noting that it will go a long way in making the students better in the field of information technology.

We sincerely wish that others will see it fit to follow in your footsteps and make similar contributions to other schools. We cannot thank you enough and will ensure the computers are protected and put to good use,” Williams said.
