Campus Elite’s RR WNZDZ celebrates 1st anniversary with ‘cyberpunk’
College lifestyle and entertainment brand Campus Elite is all set to celebrate the first anniversary of the weekly party series, Ribbie Reserve WNZDZ.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the event will be held under the theme ‘Dancehall CyberPunk’ at Ribbiz UltraLounge.
To match the event’s ambiance, the “‘futuristic, punk rock, edgy dystopia, techy cosplay with a dancehall flair” dress code will be rigorously upheld. Attendees are urged to refrain from wearing crop tops, slippers/slides, sweatpants/track pants, or hoodies.
Adhering to the dress code is essential for admission into the venue and, upon entry, patrons will be provided with glow glasses, glow armbands, and glow shot glasses to further enhance the cyberpunk theme.
Campus Elite has also organised a make-up challenge in which make-up artists across Jamaica were invited to submit their best dancehall cyberpunk-inspired looks.. The challenge closed on June 5 and voting is currently open on the Campus Elite’s Instagram page, featuring four finalist — Solya Blake, Shante Tracy, Daniella DaCosta, and Chinaka Copdion-Moore. Voting ends on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 9:00 pm. The entry with the most likes will be announced at 11:00 pm for a prize of $25,000.
Sandre Malcolm, CEO of Campus Elite, said: “As we celebrate the first anniversary of RR WNZDZ we’re extremely thankful for the support we’ve received over the past year. Dancehall Cyberpunk is all about a fusion of retro-futuristic vibes and cutting-edge style, so we’re bringing out the neon, we’re bringing the pulsating beats so that our patrons can experience an electrifying journey into the dancehall cyberpunk realm.”
Dancehall Cyberpunk is scheduled to begin at 10:00 pm, with DJs Laing D, Vinchi and Breeze as the music masters.
