READ: Reggae Boyz defeat Dominica 3-2 in World Cup qualifier
Jahmali Waite – 4/10 – Got away with an early scare after rushing out but didn’t learn his lesson and made to look like a deer in headlights for Dominica’s first goal.
Dexter Lembikisa – 5/10 – Ropey start to the game, recovered but had a ropey finish. Did not look match sharp and this could have been because he was returning from injury.
Di’Shon Bernard – 4/10 – Not the best of starts to the game, and struggled after. Hooked at the half.
Richard King – 5/10 – Was having a fair game but sunk into the general malaise of Jamaica’s defence late in the second half.
Greg Leigh – 4/10 – Lost too many duels and gave away the ball too often. His shambolic defending was the cause of Dominica’s first goal.
Karoy Anderson – 5/10 – His passing was good but lost too many duels in the middle of the park.
Kasey Palmer -5/10- Also had good passes but did not provide enough thrust into the final third. Gave the ball away a bit.
Bobby Reid – 6/10- Not exactly the best first half but looked lively in the second half before being subbed. He does not look comfortable where he’s being asked to play.
Renaldo Cephas – 6/10- Another assist but still not enough end product in the final third.
Kaheim Dixon – 7/10 – Kept the Dominican defence busy as he should’ve but missed many chances. Was lively all game. Another good showing in a fledgling international career.
Shamar Nicholson – 8/10 – Much more active than in his previous game and found the net twice as often. Was a constant threat to the opponents. Missed some clear-cut chances too but still a good enough output.
Subs
Michael Hector – 4/10 – Looked like the Michael Hector of years past and reminded us why he is better in midfield than defence. Lost too many important duels. Poor.
Deshane Beckford – 5/10 – Didn’t do much with his dribbles and did not have a strong effect on the game.
Alex Marshall – 5/10- Not enough effect on things. Expected more of him.
Daniel Johnson – 5/10 – Uncharacteristically quiet game. Also expected more.
Adrian Reid – N/A – Not enough time on pitch for an objective rating.
Heimir Hallgrímsson – 4/10 – Three points may be the most important outcome but his team should not be having such difficulty with opponents at this level. Lacklustre performance and concerning defending from the players but the buck stops with the head coach.
Bonus Rating
The Surface – 1/10 – Hopefully the potatoes planted there were not affected by the football game that took place.
