Bayka happy to have worked with Najeeriii on debut EP Mob Ties
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Dancehall artiste Bayka says the collaboration 1086 which features fellow next generation dancehall act Najeeriii was inspired by their friendship.
1086 is featured on Bayka’s EP titled Mob Ties, which was officially launched last night at The Balcony in New Kingston.
“The energy behind 1086 is real. It’s a day-to-day vibe between me and Najeeriii. We see each other almost everyday and we always a link up. The energy solid,” Bayka told Observer Online shortly after the launch.
Sponsored by Magnum Tonic Wine, the EP launch also saw performances from the likes of Jahshii and Iwaata. Dancehall artiste Pablo YG was also in attendance.
Bayka performed songs from the 13-track EP, which bears the Out Deh Records imprint.
He spoke about the creative process behind the project.
“Yaw fi be true with yuself and yuh supporters. Yuh just have to be you when you putting out a project, be natural and mek di people dem feel it,” he disclosed.
A number of producers contributed to the project including Franc White aka Zimmi Franc of Zimmi Records and Fanatic.
Songs on Mob Ties include Mob Style, You Alone, Nice to Meet You, Far Away and Tutty Two.
Bayka emerged on the music scene three years ago. Among his hit songs are 1Uptown, Mobster, Top Tier and Gyal Dem Shift.
