Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw named player of the year

Jamaica’s Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been named player of the year at the Women’s Football Awards adding to her Women’s Super League (WSL) and Football Writers’ Association player of the season awards.

The Manchester City striker won the WSL Golden Boot after scoring 21 goals in 18 games, though her season ended early due to a broken foot.

She is the first Manchester City player to win the Golden Boot.

The Jamaican striker joined Manchester City in 2021 and has had a superb run at the club.
