Cunningham and Charlton win sprint hurdles at Racers GP
KINGSTON, Jamaica – World Championships silver medallist Trey Cunningham and World Indoor champion Devynne Charlton won the sprint hurdles at Saturday’s Racers Grand Prix at the National Stadium.
Cunningham, the American silver medallist at the Oregon World Championships in 2022, ran a season’s best 13.12 seconds (0.8m/s), third best this year in the world, to take the 110m hurdles in his second race of the season.
Commonwealth Games champion Rasheed Broadbell ran 13.24 seconds for second, the fastest Jamaican man of the season so far, in his first race since he crashed out of the first round last year at the World Championships. American Michael Dickson was third in a season best 13.26 seconds.
Charlton of the Bahamas won the 100m hurdles in 12.64 seconds (1.0m/s), just edging out Yanique Thompson who was second in12.66 seconds while Amoi Brown placed third with a season best 12.73 seconds.
