Taximan charged with housebreaking, stealing TVs
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A taxi operator of East Road, Kingston has been charged with house breaking and larceny after he allegedly broke into a man’s house and stole two televisions valuing $66,000.
He has been identified as 49-year-old Franklyn Livingstone.
It is reported that on Wednesday, May 25, about 12:00 pm, a man securely locked up his house in Silver Sun Estate, St Catherine and left for work.
The police said when he returned he discovered that culprits forced the front door lock open, entered and stole a 32 inches Samsung television valued at $33,000 and a TLC television valued at $ 33,000.
The police said Livingstone was apprehended and was subsequently charged in relation to the incident after an interview on Thursday, May 30.
His court date is being finalised.
