Conroy Smith hopes to make Love Star Music a global brand
KINGSTON Jamaica — Record producer Conroy Smith is determined to make his Love Star Music label into a global brand.
The label, which was launched in 2019, has produced and released hits for several popular reggae and dancehall artistes including Richie Spice, Luciano, Macka Diamond, Mr Easy, Yasus Afari, Yaksta and Ginjah.
“Over the past four years, we have created a foothold in the music industry by producing quality reggae and dancehall music that resonates with music lovers worldwide. Now that we have made a name in the business I plan to transform the label into a global brand. We have some big things in the making, but I am not ready to make any announcements just yet,” said the producer.
Smith is now set to drop a hot new dancehall rhythm project titled, Common Out Rhythm.
The 13-song project, which is scheduled to be released today, will feature songs from Sunshine Velvet, Ras Fraser, Navino, Pink Boss, Webstah, Singa Ding, Danella, Nykka, Regal Imperial, King Muziah, Xsomo, Don G.
“I’m convinced this project will be a club banger. Many people keep asking me where I got the rhythm because it’s so hypnotic. I have to give Nykka of Smashing Records full credit for creating it, he’s also one of the featured artistes on the project,” he said.
The enterprising music producer also revealed that he plans to release a one drop reggae project titled the Real Love Rhythm later this year.
“I have a reggae project in the works which will feature songs from several artistes including JC Lodge, Turbulence, Natty King, Sunshine Velvet, and myself. I’m currently wrapping up the production of this project because I want to drop it very soon,” he stated.
