Accused burglar allegedly caught on camera
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A man has been charged with burglary and larceny after CCTV cameras allegedly caught him escaping from the balcony of a home in Coral Spring, Trelawny on Wednesday, May 22.
The accused is 23-year-old Jerome Bruce of Boston district in St Elizabeth.
Reports are that about 11:00 pm, a man was asleep in his living room when he was awakened by a noise. It is reported that on waking up, he saw another man standing in the room and called out to him.
The police said the accused then made his escape through the balcony door. Checks were made and CA$300 was missing from the complainant’s wallet.
A report was made and on arrival of the police, the CCTV cameras were reviewed and Bruce was allegedly seen coming from the balcony.
He was subsequently arrested and charged on Friday, May 25.
