NCB opens boardroom to little leaders
NCB’s newest group of consultants gathered at the Atrium in Kingston recently for the highly anticipated Little Leaders Summit. Held in honour of National Children’s Day 2024, the event saw key executives from NCB engaging with the children of staff members in a unique and interactive boardroom setting.
Throughout the session, the three-and four-year-olds participated in an interactive storytelling session, a fun-filled warm-up song, story time, and a colouring activity. The young attendees also had the opportunity to share their ideas on what they would do with $1,000, sparking creativity and conversation among the youngsters.
Hopelin Hines, vice-president of group human resources at NCB, expressed her enthusiasm for the event.
“The Little Leaders’ Summit is a practical demonstration of our commitment to family and community engagement. By involving our employees’ children in such meaningful activities, we are not only fostering their growth from an early age, but also strengthening the bonds within our NCB family,” she said.
Four-year-old Luca Phillips, one of the kiddie consultants in attendance, commented, “I’m glad I got to come to my mommy’s work and meet the Honourable Michael Lee-Chin. My mommy works at NCB and when I grow up, I want to work at NCB too.”
The activities of the day were followed by a ‘kid-first’ lunch, provided by Burger King. Everyone dug into their lunch of nuggets and fries, Whoppers and plant-based burgers, and closed off the day playing with toys from their Burger King kid’s meals.
