Man charged after allegedly firing gun during argument
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A man, who allegedly shot at another during an argument, has been slapped with several charges stemming from the incident along Bastard Cedar Walk district, Petersfield in Westmoreland last week.
Charged with shooting with intent, using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony and possession of a prohibited weapon is 30-year-old Jason Chambers of Fort Williams district in the parish and Toronto, Canada.
It is alleged that about 3:00 am, Chambers and a man were arguing when Chambers pulled out a firearm from his waistband and fired one shot at him.
The man reportedly ran off and escaped.
A report was made to the police and a targeted raid was conducted during which Chambers was apprehended.
Chambers was subsequently charged. His court date is being finalised.
